ROLECAST 008: Tim Resistor – Psybernetics

Tim Resistor used to be known as the hard dance ambassador of Washington, DC. Anyone who ever heard him play knew why — amazing hard to find tracks, impeccable mixing, always. His Psybernetics mix is always brought up when people discuss timeless DC-Baltimore area mixes by local DJs. This mix rarely left my car CD player. Remember that? This mix was no where to be found on the Internet, so I tracked down Tim and he sent me a copy with a tracklisting. The mix is still as good as it was over a decade ago, when people made mixes with vinyl records they bought. If you like, or want to find a reason to like, any of the following genres, you need to listen: techno, acid techno, hard house, hard trance, trance, goa, freeform. Thanks Tim!

This mix pays tribute to early to mid 90s classic house and techno. The tracklisting should speak for itself. Felt obliged to make this mix because techno’s influence is really begin felt now with the whole future bass thing and the way some dub step has moved.
